An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Manager to join a dynamic nursing team within an established, luxury Nursing Home in Sutton Coldfield. Wyndley Grange Nursing Home is located in a beautiful lakeside setting on the edge of Sutton Park Nature Reserve, and offers excellent transport links by bus and train. We are a reputable family run business, and offer a range of high quality services including nursing, dementia, respite, and end of life care.

As part of the senior management team, you will lead and develop the nursing team and ensure all residents consistently receive a high standard of person centred care. You will be accountable for the provision of expert nursing advice and input into operational and strategic issues, to ensure that the quality of our service continually improves. Supported by our Registered Managers, you will be given every opportunity to develop your managerial and clinical skills through structured professional development.

Summary of Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Registered Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional standards of clinical practice, and ensure all resident care is delivered in accordance with established policies and procedures. As a role model you will work alongside staff demonstrating the standards of care expected, and ensure staff compliance with the GSCC Code of Practice and the NMC Code. You will manage the clinical area safely and efficiently and ensure all staff clearly understand their role and responsibilities, and deliver these in accordance with their job description. As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Managers to ensure compliance with CQC minimum standards and all legislative requirements. You will also ensure staff work in accordance with our Values and Philosophy.

You will possess exceptional organisational skills, have significant experience in leading and managing a clinical team and will ensure that the caring culture expected of nursing staff is always maintained. You will also actively participate in the On Call Clinical Nurse Manager rota, and deputise for the Registered Manager as required.

Skills and Experience

* Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult Branch)
* Nursing (Adult) BSc
* Teaching and Mentoring Qualification
* Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development
* A minimum of 5 years post registration experience
* Senior leadership and management experience within an older person setting
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Clear commitment to quality and attention to detail
* Ability to sustain performance under pressure
* Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills
* A clear understanding of CQC and regulatory requirements
* Experience in incident and risk management, complaints management, resource management and infection prevention and control
* Development and implementation of policies and protocols to support best practice
