Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEND school in Middlesbrough to recruit a full time SLD Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis, with a strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. The role will commence ASAP and will involve working with a small class of students across key stages 1 and 2 with severe learning difficulties, including Physical Impairment and BESD. The role will involve working on a small group and 1:1 basis with the students and there may be an element of personal care required. Candidates with experience working with SEN in mainstream and specialist schools are welcome, and other relevant experience is also considered.

The ideal candidate will have:

-At least three months experience in an SEND environment

-Teaching Assistant Level 2 Qualification (or relevant experience/degree)

- Excellent behaviour management skills

- A patient, nurturing and caring attitude
