The Company and the Role:
Amazing Media Sales Consultant opportunity in an established, office based, advertising B2B sales team. This permanent vacancy is based in Southampton and offers great career and earning potential.
Working with an internal local and professional commercial team, selling a range of multimedia (marketing and communication) solutions, advising on copywriting, copy presentation, advertisement design and campaign planning as well as collecting and processing all advertisement copy, liaising with all external and internal stakeholders.
Working for one of the largest regional media companies, and with other media specialists. Generating awareness and promoting client products, services and brands to 80% of captured local audiences.
You would be selling digital and print based advertising products that you have assessed to be the best fit to your customer's and their brand needs.
Build realistic advertising campaign plan around budgets, features and benefits to the client, rather than burning through them in one hit, consulting with the customer to give them the best advice, through high levels of customer service and excellence.

Key Features of the Role:
As a Media Sales Consultant you will be working in an established office-based sales team, you will be speaking to business owners and decision makers, to gain an understanding of advertising budgets, requirements, end product and their engagement points.
You will be working with clients with smaller advertising budgets of up to �1000, however this is in a growing market, where lots of smaller and medium sized businesses are currently seeing development and growth, and multiple smaller budgets.
Develop an understanding and structured idea or plan for the clients advertising media campaign, using the business assets, knowledge and experience available within your award-winning national advertising team.
Gaging the client's status in the sales process using detailed fact finding, trial, open and closed sales questioning techniques.
Maximising advertising sales across the complete product portfolio of digital and print packages, as long as it sits in line with the customer's needs and budget.

Knowledge and Skills:
As an office-based Media Sales Consultant it is essential that you have a background in any of the following area: B2B telesales, telemarketing, new business generation, business development, advertising sales, digital sales, consultancy, marketing sales, client management, account management or a similar corporate sales role.
You must have experience of selling over the phone, working to a sales process, where you are looking to generate touch points, negotiate, investigate and gain engagement.
You must be able to understand multiple products and services, as well as take direction through training and career development.
You must be able to work with CRM, imputing, tracking and logging prospect and existing client data on a day to day basis.
You must have a good Microsoft Office package experience, with a minimum GCSE in Math's and English, a record of self-learning, or equivalent educational qualification.
You must be emotionally robust to be able to handle sales targets, SLA's, KPI's and deadlines, which can require you to make your clients aware of the urgency required, especially when dealing with specific advertising mediums.
