Youth Work Teaching Assistant Bradford

Our client schools and MATs located in Bradford, are looking to appoint teaching assistants with previous youth work experience, to support pupils aged 11-16.

* Full time Teaching Assistant positions, immediate starts.
* �60 - �70 per day depending upon previous experiences
* Fantastic opportunities that can enhance future Teacher training applications
* Supporting students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
* Working with disengaged learners

The successful Teaching Assistants will support students in classes across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. Further to this, the appointed Youth Work Teaching Assistants will have the opportunity to cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher, which is great experience of classroom and behaviour management. Due to some of the students displaying challenging behaviour, the roles will also involve working closely with pupils who have been withdrawn from lessons, or at 'risk of exclusion'.

The locations of the schools include schools close to the M606 motorway, our partner schools are accessible from neighbouring areas Halifax and Leeds. The schools/MATs have expressed that the appointed Teaching Assistants have previous experience of working with students aged 11 – 16 who display challenging behaviour.
