Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a 2 form primary school in the Birstall area. This "Good" Birstall school serves the local community well and are looking to add a KS2 teaching assistant. As a KS2 teaching assistant, you would be expected to support children on a small group basis and occasionally on a 1:1 basis through Maths, English, Reading and the curriculum.

The focus for the school in Birstall at this current moment is to help support children from various backgrounds to attain well for their end of year exams including the KS2 SATs, so the role comes with certain unique challenges. As teaching assistant, you would be working with children whose first language is not English (EAL) and children with "Looked After" (LAC) backgrounds.

Job Highlights:

* Level 3 qualification
* Some experience within a primary school (ideally KS2 but not essential)
* Be comfortable with visual teaching styles to suit EAL children in particular
* Live or commute in Birstall
* Be good with supporting the Primary curriculum
