Job Position: Business Development Manager – Fuels and Lubricants

Job Status: Permanent

Direct Reports: 5 (team of up to 15)

Job Description: To raise market awareness of our Client's capabilities and facilities in the area of Catalyst Ageing and Fuels and Lubricants Testing.

To build new relationships within existing clients, and new clients with both vehicle manufacturers, fuel, lubricant & additive companies, and catalyst ageing in the UK, mainland Europe and worldwide. (UK and foreign travel is a requirement of the role)

To lead high level client meetings, preparing and presenting facility and technical capability, and developing technical proposals where applicable.

Support sales and marketing activities, including technical papers, literature, industry forums and exhibitions.

The role will also include:
• Managing the current business and developed new business
• Development of mainland European opportunities both vehicle OEM, Tier 1, fuel, lubricant & additive companies
• Preparing and maintaining structured action plans, for both existing and new clients
• Performance measured against KPIs

People management responsibilities
• Drive performance through setting clear performance expectations
• Manage performance through regular communications including one to ones, team meetings and regular feedback
• Set a high-performance culture
• Take charge in releasing potential of the team

Qualifications &
Experience: Required Skills And Experience
• Good IT literacy skills
• Engineering graduate, or requisite industry experience
• Powertrain engineering/consultancy background
• Extensive automotive industry experience, at Senior management level
• In-depth knowledge of European OEM vehicle manufacturers and Tier 1 suppliers
• In-depth knowledge of European Fuel, Lubricant & additive manufacturers
