My client is a �50 million business specialising in the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of process plant projects for a wide variety of industries, the company are part of a large global business with great long term security. The company is part of a wider group of business with a turnover of over ?350 million.

The business has been trading over 250 years, employs 150 people and is currently going through a growth phase due to several large turnkey project wins in the UK, USA and Europe. As a result of project wins the company grew incredibly in 2018 and 2019 is set to be another fantastic year for the business.

The company are a true engineering business with 100 staff in engineering roles across process design, mechanical design, controls and automation and project engineering. The business offers their customers consultancy services and full turnkey project management services to their clients and are seeing a large increase in the number of turn key projects they are winning. Many of their customers are large blue chip global FMCG companies which a testament to the first-class service they offer.

Due to their continued growth and new turnkey projects they are looking to recruit an additional two Project Managers to join their business with immediate effect. Please apply online for consideration.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the timescales for a project from initial design work through to final commissioning at site whilst maintaining a strong working relationship with the customer (plus all other stakeholders) through the project and managing and reporting on cost progress during the project. On a project you will have a project team combining process, mechanical, electrical and software design engineers working through their respective line managers.

You will be managing projects up to �30 million in value.

Your key responsibilities will be:

* Defining the scope and project execution plan for the project at the beginning.
* Coordinating the resource required to deliver the project.
* Managing all stake holder relationships during the project, these will include customer contacts and any stakeholders within the internal group (sometimes they partner on manufacturing for projects).
* Managing and reporting on cost progress for Projects.
* Identifying solutions for project problems these could include delivery, financial or potentially legal issues.
* Travelling to site to discuss the project progress with the customer.
* Managing any major issues with suppliers that are affecting project progress.
* You will responsible for the control of information flow to the customer for the duration of the project to make sure ongoing issues are solved.

The Candidate

To be successful in your application for this Project Manager role you will need:

* Strong Project Management capability.
* Background in managing projects in relation to process plant equipment or in a process industry with some exposure to running turnkey projects.
* The ability to manage multi discipline design teams within projects.
* Great relationship building skills.
* To be able to report on manage costs on a project.
