Teaching Personnel are looking for retired prison officers or retired police officers for flexible work in schools in York. Are you an ex-prison officer or ex-police officer looking for flexible work as a Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Cover Supervisor in schools in York? Would you like to make use of the transferrable skills that you have gained throughout your career? Have you got a strong presence that would benefit students’ learning and behaviour in the classroom?

Teaching Personnel work with a number of Schools in York providing Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors and Cover Supervisors on a flexible basis.

To be successful in this role you will:

* Be engaging and able to relate to young people
* Have an interest in supporting students who may be disengaged with education
* Be a positive role model
* Have a strong presence
* Have GCSE’s or equivalent qualification
* Be flexible
