TriConnex is a fast-growing independent multi-utility connection contractor. We design, install and connect gas, electricity, water and ultra-fast fibre networks to properties on new residential and commercial developments. We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver/Warehouse Assistant with a flexible attitude to join our Operations team based in Braintree, to provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of goods to sites.

The position;

* Deliver and collect a variety of items from multiple locations across the South East, including London.
* Load and unload any cargo and make sure that the delivery vehicle and any associated equipment remain clean, tidy, in good working order and to company safety standards.
* On/Off loads of materials by use of fork lift truck.
* Assisting with general warehouse duties as required, performing all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
* Communicate regularly with key stake-holders to ensure they are aware of the delivery time slot that has been assigned.
* Ensure hold-ups or traffic incidents are communicated ahead of time.
* Report any issues with the job, equipment or vehicle to the Buying team.
* Handle the paperwork associated with deliveries, from receipts to confirmation notices, keeping an up-to-date inventory of delivery records to make sure the right items are dispatched to the correct clients.
* Ensure that all aspects of Health & Safety policies and procedures are complied with in all daily activities.
* Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
* Having a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
* Prepare orders by picking stock from the order request accurately and placing in delivery area.
* Completing periodical warehouse stock counts as needed.
* Using space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently.

What we are looking for;

* The ability to operate a forklift vehicle
* The ability to plan, coordinate and monitor stock levels
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at various levels
* Proven ability to remain calm within a pressurised and busy environment
* Good IT Skills including MS Excel and Word.
* Organised and ability to prioritise workload, working to deadlines and given timeframes


* Full UK Driver's Licence
* Must hold a Forklift Licence
* Must have a CSCS Card to gain site access
* Confident with towing trailers
* Experience within a Warehouse environment
* Stock Control and Inventory
* Good communication skills with the ability to liaise at various levels
* Basic IT skills required to process paperwork and stock inventory.
