Heating & Energy Consultant

A vacancy has arisen within a large property and infrastructure firm for an Energy Consultant to join their London based team. As a result of a partnership with the Mayor of London, our client are a spearheading a new initiative to help housing providers across the London area to understand and address inefficiencies within the residential heating and energy networks.

As a result of securing several large contracts with local authorities and housing providers, they are looking for an experienced Energy Consultant with strong technical knowledge and experience of plant rooms to join their team.

What the role entails:

* Deliver heating efficiency benchmarking services, appraisals and site surveys to uncover the causes of inefficiency and the ways in which these can be addressed.
* Provide technical knowledge and expertise with the use of appropriate analytical tools (e.g Excel, thermal modelling, mapping, flow and return temperature analysis etc)
* Develop and build strong client relationships, providing relevant and timely solutions.
* Provide technical consultancy (e.g. data & opportunity analysis, business case development, specification reviews, programme optimisation and procurement support) to help major local authorities and housing associations to develop and deliver high quality low carbon residential retrofit projects and programmes.
* Work closely with other Energy Team members and specialist delivery partners to deliver specialist consultancy services where required and to support clients.

Experience required:

* To be a subject matter expert in the development and delivery of energy efficiency and low carbon generation projects.
* Familiarity with the theory and practical management of heat networks in order to maximise efficiency.
* Awareness of CIBSE CP1 code of practice and experience of working with communal heating systems.
* Understanding of energy and retrofit markets.
* The ability to use excel and other relevant programs to analyse heating performance data.
* Knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance.
