Sodexo are looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to join our team at a prestigious client site in central London.

Reporting to the head chef, you will be responsible for leading culinary excellence in your own business area. Creating menu concepts, developing food ideas to meet ever-changing market needs and maintaining a safe working environment will be critical to the success of anyone in this role.

£25,000 - £26,000 + benefits
This role is fixed term for up to 12 months.
This position will be primarily based in the Waterloo, however, there is a need to cover two smaller sites within London.
There may be requirement to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Main responsibilities
Run a section within the food offer. On occasion you will be responsible for running a smaller operation on your own
Cook to recipes to achieve agreed standard and costs
Responsible for the full compliance of statutory & Company regulations with regards to food safety & health andsafety
To attend daily briefing meetings, weekly department head meetings, monthly health & safety meetings & quarterly staff meetings.
Monitor and co-ordinate the team tasks on a daily & weekly basis, so that all food and meal requirements from visitors are met to the required standard and on time.
Ensure service times are adhered to
Refer any complaints/feedback to the relevant line manager
Ensure the company’s safety management system is adhered and maintained in line with audits scores achieved.
Assist the main restaurant when required and deputise in the absence of the head chef
Ensure food prepared is served at the correct service times
Ensure high standards of personal performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness always
Comply with all Company policies/procedures and client site rules and regulations

Ideal candidateEssential


Experience as chef de partie (minimum 2 years)
Hospitality, restaurant and fine dining experience is advantageous
Strong communications skills
Self-motivated with a positive outlook
Ability to interpret and follow recipes from the development team or senior management.

Experience working in a compliance driven environment
IT skills
Excellent customer focus and service skills
C&G 7061/7062 OR equivalent
