Teaching Personnel is currently seeking individuals who are seeking a new challenge and full time employment working as a Teaching Assistant in a Special school based in Aldershot. The school caters for pupils demonstrating a variety of learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs, this may include:

* ADHD
* Autism (ASC/ASD)
* Disengaged or uncooperative behaviour
* History of drug and alcohol abuse
* Self-harm or anxiety

The Role:

Applicants will be working in a classroom assisting teachers and fellow support workers on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis with pupils, as well as in groups. You will be supporting the class Teacher to carry out the prepared curriculum and aid in the pupils learning and development.

The working hours will fall between school hours, which are typically 08:30 - 15:30, Monday - Friday. Should you only be available on a part time basis or have an interest in day to day supply, we are able to help with this as well. As we can also offer work on a day to day basis.

The Candidate:

Ideal applicants should have previous experience working with complex behaviour or special educational needs professionally. Without professional experience any personal experience with the following could help you to succeed in this role:

* Youth/Community work experience
* Care worker
* Challenging behaviour within family
* Mentoring
* SEN Experience
