Job Ref:

1:1 Teaching Assistant Needed in Blackpool Primary School.

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a large Primary School in Blackpool. This school are currently looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work from 8:45-12:30 alongside a young boy in Reception. The young boy is well behaved, however he is working at a lower level than his peers and requires Speech and Language support. This role would be well suited to a candidate who has previous experience working on a 1:1 basis in EYFS and has experience differentiating to suite varying needs. To apply for this role you must hold a childcare related Level 2+ qualification.

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a large Primary School located in the heart of Blackpool, the school is easily accessible from the motorway and would suite a candidate either living in central Blackpool or surrounding areas such as Kirkham, Preston, Garstang, St Annes or Fleetwood.

I have spoken with the Headteacher of this school today who has expressed she is looking for nothing less than an ‘inspirational’ Teaching Assistant who is committed to maximising attainment in the classroom. The Headteacher is looking for a practitioner to start on the 4th February on a part time basis mornings only from 8:45-12:30.

This particular child urgently needs support as he is working at below ‘expected age related levels’ he needs extra support to further engage him into the classroom setting socially and academically. The pupil struggles to socialise with other children and needs different strategies implemented in order to build self confidence and creative resources would need to be adapted to suite his needs. He is high attaining in Numeracy however he is falling behind in Literacy and this support would be crucial to his development.

The school is located in the South Shore area of Blackpool and the majority of children who arrive in school are working in line with age expectations. The role is to start on 4th February and will run until the end of the financial year with the view to extend.
