Area Supervisor

Will be covering the Nottingham / Derbyshire area but may be required to travel to Market Harborough (satellite office) and Boston as per business needs.

As part of our continued expansion we are looking to recruit conscientious and enthusiastic individuals that have pride in producing work of the highest quality to complement our existing team looking after long term Commercial contracts throughout East Anglia.

Key responsibilities / Core purpose of the role:

• Dealing with the day to day management of operatives covering all personnel issues and ensuring the Client’s contractual and specific requirements are met.
• Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to ensure that the Team leaders and Engineers continue to meet the Clients Service Level agreements. 
• Responsible for providing technical support, encouragement and training for all existing and future Engineers. Dealing with the day to day man management of Engineers covering personnel, grievance and disciplinary issues that arise whilst communicating Company procedures and Client specific requirements. 
• Delivery of the Key Objectives within the Integrated Management system ISO9O01/14001
• Carry out Post Inspection Quality Checks and provide reports for management whilst meeting targets on volume. Attend and process recalls and provide information to management on clarification of the work and possible preventative measures or training requirements. 
• Encourage understanding of the need for Quality of Work and professional attitudes for future development of the business, creating an environment which encourages employee development, good employee relations, teambuilding and quality standards

Key Accountabilities of the Area Supervisor to include:-

• Deal with the day to day man management of operatives covering all personnel issues such as interviewing potential employees, staff inductions, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure the Clients contractual and specific requirements are met, and where possible surpassed, by motivating the Engineers in completing their duties both during normal working hours and through the 24/7 call out.
• Communicating Company procedures and Client requirements to operatives through daily contact and structured monthly Tool Box Talks. 
• Represent the Company in a professional manner at Client Progress Meetings, Tenant Forums, when dealing with complaints etc.
• Keep accurate records of all formal communications, site visits and Client meetings.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements or legislations, including Risk Assessments and Fire Safety, are adhered to during the course of work. 
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
• Liaise with the Operations Director and Quality Services Manager on all issues related to the training requirements and technical support for all existing and future Engineers. 
• Champion the Aaron Services group Competency Scheme, ensuring that engineers are briefed on updates and changes, that local records are maintained, that any identified training needs are addressed and closed down in accordance with company policy, that engineers actively participate in the collection of competence evidence and that each engineer is only allocated work which falls within their scope of competencies
• Carry out Post Inspection Quality Checks, to pre-determined agreed target volumes, and provide reports for management to meet Client requirements and to identify future training and technical support requirements.
• Process and Follow up on recalls after an Engineer has attended a property on more than two occasions and provide information to management regarding clarification details of the work and suggestion for possible preventative measures or training requirements.
• Attend properties where allocated resources have been unable to provide corrective repair to ascertain course of action or suggestions to ensure work completion.
• Provide technical support during the course of the working week and in emergency situations to all Engineers whilst on call.
• Assist in the training of any existing and new staff. 
• Ensure all health and safety requirements or legislations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and Fire Safety, are adhered to during the course of work. 
• To ensure that service delivery is continuously improved to meet the needs of the clients and customers.
• To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training. 
• To undertake such other duties, training and / or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this job. 
• Ensure the cascade of information to relevant staff on all technical information known or obtained in the future.
• Any further duties as deemed necessary by Aaron Services Ltd.
• Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies and procedures.

THE CANDIDATE: 

Key requirements for the Area Supervisor position based in and around the East Anglian region:

• Will hold a full UK driving licence
• Must hold a Core Gas Qualification
• Must be flexible around working hours and travel to suit business needs.
