Main responsibilitiesWe are looking for a new team member to join our Data Capture Team based in Redruth for a period of up to 12 months. 

You will be responsible for completing tasks associated with the maintenance, modifying, upgrading and updating of the Company’s Geographic Information System (GIS) , namely the attributed LV, 11kv, 33kv, 66kv and 132kv Networks including running conditions.

 Your main duties will include but are not limited to:-

* The upgrading, transfer & manipulation of existing plant records from Landline or Scanned Ordnance Survey based products to the latest OS MasterMap surveys.  

* The interrogation of databases & Google Earth to establish authenticity of information received where doubt or unresolved issues may exist.     

* Liaising with other team members & updates teams to resolve information related variances and misunderstandings when necessary. 

* Undertaking quality inspections on your own completed work and that of others when required to do so.

The starting salary for the successful candidate will be £27,164 until such time as the training and experience required is successfully completed.

 
Ideal candidateExperience in working with CAD is essential and knowledge of the Company’s procedures and systems would be an advantage but not essential.

The successful candidate should have sound numeracy and literacy skills, with an eye for detail.

You must be reliable, methodical, well organized and display a logical approach to problem solving. You should also be capable of working both as part of a small team and on your own initiative. 

Desirable

Experience within a utilities / construction environment

 A drawing office or technical background
