Working hours: 8 hours per day plus 1 hour lunch break, shifts between the hours of 7.30-5.30
We work 44 weeks per year, including half terms and 2 weeks summer club during the first 4 weeks of the 6 weeks summer holiday

We are currently looking for a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team.

The Qualified Nursery Nurse Role
In the Nursery Practitioner role you will create a safe, secure, stimulating and caring learning environment for each individual child:

* Committing to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and their families and all visitors and users of the nursery. Upholding all policies and procedures relating to safeguarding.
* Creating and maintaining an individual plan of children's interests and activities to cover all areas of the EYFS.
* To take responsibility to ensure a safe, clean and tidy environment to meet all health and hygiene regulations. To uphold all policies & procedures relating to H&S and food hygiene standards.

Main Responsibilities

* To follow the nursery's code of conduct to the highest professional standards and provide consistently high standards to meet the needs of all the children.
* To be a key worker. Plan & observe children regularly, assess and develop their learning to ensure they are progressing. Ensure all report writing is kept up to date at all times.
* Ensure all child led and adult led activities meet the individual needs of children taking into account their interests and stage of development. Resources should be age appropriate, challenging and stimulating.
* To communicate effectively with children and their families, colleagues and all users of the nursery. As a keyworker you will build strong relationships with your key children and work in partnership with their families.
* Record, maintain and report accidents, incidents and illnesses to appropriate senior staff.
* Serve food and drinks in accordance with food safety guidance and help ensure that children eat healthily.
* Adhere to Health and safety regulations and statutory guidance including, Environmental Health, fire and emergency regulations and statutory and operational guidance from Ofsted.
* Support and oversee all Apprentice Nursery Practitioners, unqualified Nursery Practitioners and students. Ensuring you are an exemplary role model expecting and helping them meet requirements.
* Promote a positive public image of the nursery, ensuring relationships with parents and families are kept professional and any nursery matters are kept strictly confidential
* Ensure that Equality and Diversity is promoted and is reflected through teaching and learning, conducting yourself in a way which enables individuals to feel equal and valued.
* To undertake and update mandatory training where necessary and attend courses that are in the best interests of your role or the nursery.

Requirements for the Qualified Nursery Nurse Role


* Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
* Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Fire a
