Description

You will be managing and delivering all component development activities across the process chain, to ensure on time introduction and integration into Bespoke vehicle content. You will be leading project planning of all engineering activities to the required specification in support of tasks assigned by the Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer role:

As the Bespoke Project Engineer, you will be responsible for defining One-Off Customer and Aftersales Accessory Engineering technical concepts and driving these development activities.

You will design and develop bespoke components and generate timing plans, parts lists, CAD model data, DFMEA, Engineering drawing specifications and then prepare the Engineering Release documentation. You will communicate cross functionally and externally to suppliers to ensure prototype parts are produced and validated to defined testing regimes (which you will generate and maintain) within the agreed timelines. You will ensure that the Client will remain at the forefront of engineering design and development.

Qualifications and Experience

You will have:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Experience of automotive component design and development
Extensive knowledge of prototype part manufacturing techniques
Experience with Automotive international Homologation requirements.
Knowledge of low and high volume tooling options
Advanced CAD (CATIA V5) ability
Strong IT competence including Microsoft applications.
Strong communication, organisational and planning skills
German language ability would be beneficial but not compulsory
