Vacancy Description:

Administration, Forklifting and Material Handling duties within Paint and warehouse area’s maintain accurate stocks , also transporting goods around the plant to ensure the correct parts are in the correct areas for processing

1. To be responsible for moving stocks from Warehouse to the paint plant
2. To accurately transact all stock movements between warehousing and paint
3. Maintain correct stock levels in the plant and report to relevant team leaders and stock discrepancies
4. Co-ordinating and marshalling parts on trolley’s around the plant ensuring they are in the correct places for processing
5. Running stock reports and pursuing kitting and closing of Works orders with team leaders
6. Stock Checking and Perpetual Inventory with adjustments and notification of relevant personnel.
7. Space management, stock consolidation, affective use of space
8. Housekeeping Activities both in the storage and the yard areas including emptying of waste bins in the production areas
9. Responsible for locating paint line frames in the correct area’s around the plant
10. To assist in locating frames on a weekly basis for cleaning and relocating returning ones.
11. Any other items as advised by the Paint Manager to contribute to the effective operation of the department.
12. Jigging up frames for paint booth painters and where necessary for both Prime and Top Coat lines

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. PC Literate – Email (Outlook), MS Office (Excel, Word, Access), Use of MRP systems
2. previous experience of working in a production stores environment is essential
3. Experience in working to processes compliant with ISO 9001 (and ideally TS16949).
4. Current Reach and Counterbalance are essential
5. Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
6. Highly motivated - able to work as part of a small team as well as the initiative to work alone
7. Able to demonstrate a flexible and dynamic approach to all tasks set.
8. Effective time management - able to work within tight timescales in line with production needs.
