We are an IT service company that specialises in providing solutions to the education sector. We build new IT systems and manage every element from installing hardware to putting in place management procedures. We also work with clients to update or implement new items into their current network.
We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our client, a school based in Sydenham, Lewisham area. You will be working alongside the IT Manager and Consultant to facilitate teaching, learning and administration in the school through the provision of 24/7 network services, ICT Maintenance and Monitoring activities.
You will be responsible for assisting with the management of the daily operations of the Schools network peripherals, MIS and MS applications.

IT Support Technician - Benefits:

IT Support - Responsibilities:

- Conducting a schedule of daily and weekly preventative maintenance checks as agreed with the IT Manager
- Staffing the internal ICT Help Desk.
- Creating and updating the IT weekly Technical Report and distributing to his/her line manager.
- Playing a part, as required, in the school`s ICT ordering and acquisition processes.
- Providing first line help and support to staff and students.
- Supporting the fleet of Windows 10 Desktops, Laptops/Tablets and Thin Client devices using a variety of Windows and cloud-based applications.

Entry level Experience and Skills:
The successful IT Support Technician will have come from an IT background with at least two years' experience in a similar role.

- Demonstrable experience in supporting Windows Desktop environments - specifically Windows 10.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Office 2016 and Office 365.
- Basic knowledge of networking.


- Experience working in a similar role in a school
- Experience of Capita SIMS
