Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a Maths Teacher to work in a specialist SEMH provision based in Southampton. The provision provides a complete education and care service for young girls aged between 9 – 18 years of age with severe or complex behavioural, emotional, social or mental health difficulties.

The school has been previously rated “Outstanding” by Ofsted, providing accommodation and complete therapeutic sessions to attending girls. “The school prides itself on its ability to be flexible in meeting the diverse needs of all its students, providing a completely individualised education, supported by a well-qualified and experienced team.”

The role and responsibilities:

* Plan, deliver and mark sessions for girls with complex SEMH needs.
* Engage and motivate pupils
* Inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, parents and other professionals
* Plan and lead children in off-site enrichment activities
* Ensure you uphold all safeguarding procedures, including engaging in annual safeguarding training, including induction training

The candidate:

* Minimum of 2 years English teaching experience
* Experience of working with children with SEN, SEMH or ASC
* A commitment to ongoing professional development.
* An excellent knowledge of the specialist curriculum area and how it may be effectively taught.
* Full comprehensive knowledge of the Maths curriculum
