Our Broker Services Team is at the heart of our organisation, priding itself on providing a first-class customer service to our brokers and intermediaries, ensuring a seamless, positive experience.


We are now recruiting for a number of Customer Service Advisors to join our growing team based out of our Basingstoke offices. This is a unique and varied opportunity, responsible for providing excellent customer service supporting the activities of the wider Broker Services team - a critical part of Unum.


Working as part of a diverse and multi-skilled team, you will provide support to our brokers and intermediaries dealing with a wide range of enquiries relating to quotations, renewals, account management and more.


Key accountabilities:


Actively manage and understand the needs of our brokers and customers, and deliver consistently high standards of service
Deal with day-to-day enquiries by both telephone and email, processing requests in a timely and accurate manner
Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues throughout the business to ensure we continue to provide the best quality service to our customers through efficient work practices.
Maintain accurate scheme records to ensure that the information used to deal with customer queries is correct, and the data held on our systems is accurate and conforms to company requirements


Essential knowledge and skills:


Strong customer service experience
PC literate including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Good communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to identify problems and apply critical, logical reasoning to resolve issues
Excellent relationship management skills
Solid mathematical/numerical skills
