A Primary School in Eastbourne is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with 2 pupils. The successful candidate will be supporting an Early Years pupil in the morning and a Year 4 pupil in the afternoon, working on a full time basis until the end of the academic year.

Both pupils are in need of support with their behaviour and concentration skills during class and interacting with their peers. The right candidate would have patience and understanding and would be able to use empathy to work with the pupils to develop techniques in order to allow them to flourish in the school environment.

The ideal Candidate would be expected to:

* Support the pupils on a daily basis with both educational and emotional needs
* Work alongside the SENCO and class teacher to monitor progress of the pupil, implementing action plans for improvement and progression
* Encourage the pupil during break times to join in team games and interact with other children
* Follow the child's individual learning plan, working together to help achieve their daily learning objectives as much as is possible.

To apply for this role you must have experience working with primary age children in a classroom environment. Experience working with SEN or SEMH is advantageous but not essential in this role.
