Are you a Science graduate looking to pursue a career in teaching but lack the required experience?

Would you like to earn money whilst gaining teaching assistant experience in a Warrington based secondary school and have the opportunity to begin a teaching training programme with the same school?

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with an ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Warrington who are looking for Science graduate teaching assistants to join their ‘Future Teachers Programme’.

The Future Teachers programme allows graduates to secure employment as a teaching assistant following the completion of a degree, as well as earn a progressive route onto a teacher training programme with a lead training school in Warrington.

Highlights of the role:

* Full time Science graduate teaching assistants role for 12 months – Followed by an introduction to a SCITT programme at a Warrington based secondary school
* Working as a Science teaching assistant from September 2019 - 2020
* Paid up to �1200 a month for the first 12 months whilst gaining essential and invaluable experience as a teaching assistant
* Opportunity to complete a teacher training programme with the school upon successful completion

As a Science graduate teaching assistant, you will be responsible for helping the class teacher with a range of lessons and being a positive learning mentor for pupils aged 11-16. You will support pupils with KS3 and K34 Science by holding small intervention and 1:1 sessions to provide extra support in preparation for the upcoming summer examinations.

The successful candidates will gain a range of teaching assistant experience in a reputable secondary school and will also have the opportunity to continue their teaching training practice with this school in September 2020.

You will be joining a vibrant and dedicated support team at a high achieving secondary school in Warrington. Science graduates starting this role will be given full guidance and direction by the school and you will be briefed on your responsibilities every morning. With regards to location, the school is very accessible the M6, M56 and the M62 for divers and via local public transport links from in and around Warrington and Manchester.

Applicants must have a Science degree or be in the final year of completion in order to be considered for the Future Teachers Programme.
