Teaching Personnel work closely with a Lancaster-based SEN School who are seeking a hard working, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant who is happy to work with pupils who have SEN and/or challenging behaviours.

The School are looking for a full time member of staff to start as soon as possible until the Easter holidays as a minimum, although this is likely to become a permanent role for the right candidate.

The pupils in School are aged between 11 - 17 years of age and they have additional learning needs. Some of the pupils will display quite challenging behaviours and ideally candidates will hold their Team Teach qualification but this is not essential.

The pupils in School often have SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours and candidates working in this School must have some SEN experience and be confident with their behaviour management techniques.

The School is set on large grounds and they have a number of animals on site, including therapy dogs, which may be in the class with you.

The role is full time and the School hours are 8.30am – 3pm, Monday – Friday.
