Our client is an expanding, well-established and ambitious web development agency based in South West London. They provide bespoke technology solutions ranging from intranet, CRM systems, through database and web platforms. They have customers across all key sectors including Government, not-for-profit, education, and large & small enterprises. They are an established Microsoft, Sitecore and Umbraco partner.

As a Front End Web Developer, you will have a real desire to work as part of a skilled and professional team in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects and for a range of customers in different sectors. You will be attracted by the latest technologies, fast infrastructure and development tools, the opportunity to grow your knowledge, and the ability to acquire new skills and experience.

You must be able to show:

- BSc degree in Computer Science, Maths or other relevant equivalent
- 2-3 years' front-end development experience required
- An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of front-end development tools, such as node.js, glup.js etc.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, such as jQuery, AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS etc.
- Familiarity with cross-browser testing and debugging
- Excellent HTML 5, CSS 3 and SASS experience
- Ability to write and de-bug JavaScript from scratch
- Proficient understanding of CSS frameworks, such as Bootstrap
- Familiarity with API Creation and RESTful services
- Good understanding of web accessibility and on-page SEO principles
- Some experience in AJAX techniques
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools (such as Photoshop), to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
- Experience working with version control systems such as SVN is a bonus
- Knowledge of HTML Email best practice is a bonus but not essential

Your key responsibilities would include:

- Create user-friendly and responsive web pages
- Translation of designer mock-ups and wireframes into front-end code
- Maintain and improve websites
- Optimise web applications for maximum speed
- Help back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting
- Ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Develop cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
- Cross-browser testing and debugging
- Integrate with server-side code to produce dynamic pages
- Provide timing estimates on work
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
