About the Product Manager:

We are now seeking to recruit a Product Manager to join our team at our head office in Bristol, UK.

In this role you'll take ownership of specified product lines. You will be responsible for both current product/portfolio management and new product developments.

Working with the Product Management & Marketing Director you'll be responsible for defining compelling roadmaps for the specified product lines as well as owning the marketing deliverables in the NPI process. The role involves working closely with the sales teams, customers and the Engineering department. The product manager acts as the primary point of contact for all product-line related issues - working with finance, supply-chain, technical support, service and quality as necessary.

Responsibilities of the Product Manager:

* Become an expert in the market and application understanding of the product range - customers, competitors, market dynamics and outlook.
* Work with global sales and operations organisations to identify market opportunities and customer requirements.
* Identify and qualify opportunities for profitable new product development.
* Research identified opportunities to create product specifications, business cases and supporting information.
* Work with all relevant departments to develop and execute the NPI process.
* Ensure the continued sales success of product in the product lines; monitor profitability and take / recommend action as appropriate.
* Work with the marcom team to develop compelling collateral and campaigns for existing and new products.
* Build strong working relationships with the management team to influence product and commercial development direction.

Requirements of the Product Manager:

* Degree qualified, or alternative relevant experience.
* Significant relevant commercial experience
* Experience of the product life-cycle - current product management and new product development including successful introduction to the market
* Experience of working with international markets
* Experience within / knowledge of the utility marketplace
* Experience of software development processes would be an advantage
