Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced Youth Support Worker on a full time basis to work within a Pupil Referral Unit in Fagley. The school has good public transport links from the surrounding areas, and has on site parking for those travelling by car.

We are seeking a committed and hardworking individual with confidence supporting pupils with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in an education setting. You must have a working knowledge of meeting the holistic needs of young people and have a desire to take a supporting role in the classroom.

The school caters for pupils that are of a vulnerable and sometimes challenging nature. As a Youth Worker, you will work closely with your colleagues to create action plans for students across Key Stages 3 and 4, taking an active role in implementing a programme that positively encourages learners to overcome barriers to learning, improve their skills and ultimately gain recognised qualifications.

You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to communicate with families, carers and a multidisciplinary team of teaching staff, social workers and educational psychologists. You will be organised, patient and confident, with a sound understanding of the key issues currently affecting young people.

As a registered member of Teaching Personnel, you will be entitled to the following candidate benefits:

* Weekly Pay
* Access to regular training and CPD courses in your local area
* Dedicated Personal Consultant
* Loyalty Rewards Scheme

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
