Physical Education Teacher – Leigh

Full-time Physical Education (PE) Teacher required from September 2019 for a secondary school based in the Orrell area of Wigan.

* Pay in line with MPS/UPS Scale (�23,720 - �39,406)
* Opportunity to gain permanent position following initial employment on a temporary basis
* Must have recent experience teaching Physical Education in a secondary school setting

Our client school are currently looking to recruit a PE teacher for an upcoming gap that is set to commence in September 2019. This position is being advertised on a full-time temporary basis initially however their will be a definite opportunity to earn a permanent contract later in the academic year.

Teachers applying for this role must hold QTS specialising in Physical Education and have experience teaching Physical Education to students aged 11-16 in a secondary school setting.

Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT’s) will be considered for this role and their will be regular reviews held with Senior Leaders and the Head of Department to ensure that the successful teacher is performing to the required standards. Complete support will be offered to the incoming teacher throughout the initial placement.

Their may also be an opportunity to start sooner then September 2019 for available teachers of Physical Education.

* The school is caters for 950 students at present, which is large compared to other schools in Wigan
* The class sizes are small which allows teachers to enhance the learning opportunities for the pupils.
* The majority of students come from a white British background
* The school is located close to Orrell and easily accessible from the surrounding areas Skelmersdale, Ashton-in-Makerfield and Leigh
