The Sixth Form Learning Mentor will work in liaison with the Director of Sixth Form to make a significant contribution to the design of the student independent study programme.

Key experience essential for 6th Form Academic Learning Tutor based in Doncaster:

- Must live within a commutable distance of Doncaster, South Yorkshire
- Must hold 4 GSCE’s grade C (or equivalent)or above including English and Mathematics
- Previous experience of working with children in a school environment
- Understanding of mentoring skills
- Evidence of an interest in meeting the needs of pupil who need help to overcome barriers to learning
- Good level of attendance


- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with young people
- Qualification or training relevant to the role e.g. Learning Mentor, EWO, Youth Worker, etc.
- Knowledge of Child Protection procedures
