The Client;

Our client is an award winning & thriving International Plc based in Central London who require an IT Project Manager with a focus on retail technology for a number of greenfield projects across multiple locations. Based in their prestigious HQ this exciting opportunity requires candidates from a Plc/Blue-chip background with the requisite communication skills that a corporate environment demands.

The Role as IT Project Manager (Retail);

The Project Manager is responsible for all group retail technology projects and liaising with key business stakeholders to deliver a group wide portfolio of projects that span multiple departments and locations.

Key duties/responsibilities include;

* Manage a portfolio of retail technology initiatives covering IT infrastructure, (e.g. Wi-Fi, Access control, Kiosk, Building Management Systems, ANPR etc..) and data analytics.
* Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for several initiatives simultaneously
* Manage day-to-day project activities, resources and chair Steering Committee meetings
* Manage project scope and changes
* Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities to key stakeholders
* Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project
* Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
* Utilise retail technology expertise to support how solutions will address business goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
* Demonstrate understanding of interdependencies between technology, organisation (People) and processes
* Develop and manage all aspects of project and programme engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
* Participate in and drive feasibility studies: vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

The as IT Project Manager (Retail) Candidate;

The client is seeking somebody who is dynamic, engaging, has strong stakeholder management skills, is self-motivated and can work independently. In addition to excellent communication skills (written/verbal), you must have gravitas and be able to demonstrate the following:

* Strong experience in IT project management (such as Infrastructure/Data Warehousing/Analytics/Digital/Wi-Fi projects)
* Ability to lead demonstrating diplomacy and motivational skills
* Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
* Ability to prepare and present documentation to non IT business people
* Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives
* Experience of influencing and gaining buy-in from executives sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
* Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
* Research best practices within and outside the organization to establis
