Hours: 08.30 - 17.30 Monday-Friday

Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

Our client is looking for a reliable and qualified Stores and Warehouse Manager to work with the Operational Managers to ensure the smooth running of the overall supply chain management. The responsibilities include organising and supervising 5 members of staff, monitoring of goods in and out, storage, picking of kits, and distribution of parts for in house production and part sales orders.

The goal is to manage the Stores responsibilities, alongside Operational management, to complete the entire order cycle so as to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and customer satisfaction. This will be a 'hands on' role.

Responsibilities of the Stores Manager:

* To assess existing stores, propose changes to improve efficiency and to implement change
* Strategically plan and control warehouse stock.
* Working with purchasing to optimize and coordinate full order cycle
* Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, and efficiency
* Organise picking in a timely and efficient manner
* Ensure shortages / stores requests are picked, evaluated and issued in a timely and efficient manner
* Deal with bill of material discrepancies.
* Manage obsolete stock.
* Arrange warehouse in an efficient manner, catalogue goods, process shipments
* Ensure deliveries are made to customers when required.
* Resolve any problems or complaints
* Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
* Meet productivity, accuracy and time line targets
* Maintain and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
* Comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements of the Stores Manager:

* Proven working experience as a logistics or warehouse supervisor / Manager
* Record of successful distribution and stores management preferably within Manufacturing
* Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
* Excellent people management skills.
* Experience of stock control software / MRP systems and Bills of material.
* Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
* Be IT literate
