A fantastic opportunity has for a Site Foreman to join our team at our Heathfield Landfill.

The Site Foreman Role:

Joining our team, the Site Foreman will be responsible for the day to day running of the Heathfield Landfill Site. Working individually or as a member of a team, you will carry out a variety of manual, machine and computer operating duties relating to the landfill and associated activities, including the reception and placing of waste delivered in to the landfill facility. You will also assist with other departments, as required by line management.

The Site Foreman will ensure the maintenance and operation of site plant and equipment is carried out in accordance with manufacturers' and Company instructions and that any defects are reported by the approved system. You will coordinate landfill operations to ensure that waste is dealt with efficiently at the site and is handled and treated in the correct manner, complying with all legislative requirements and Contracted conditions.

This role requires a flexible approach to ensure vital tasks are achieved in a timely and precise manner. Working at weekends, nights and bank holidays may be required.

Our Ideal Site Foreman will have:

You must be Able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of landfill sites; as well as a good working knowledge of relevant Health & Safety practises and training particularly in Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures.

You will have previous experience of working within waste management or construction and be experienced at operating mobile plant.

You will be an excellent communicator, with proven ability to lead a team in a landfill or manufacturing environment. A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop employees and to manage them effectively is essential.

A full UK driving license is essential.
