What will I be doing?

The Head of People will coordinate the implementation of relevant services, policies, and programs globally with the support of their team, alongside assisting and advising the company and its managers regarding all HR subjects accordingly.

You will be responsible for teams in the UK, South Africa, Europe and South America and will gain a knowledge of the respective jurisdictions and regulations of employment within the respective countries.

You will also form part of a senior management team to positively drive the business forward.

Main areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:

- Recruiting and staffing
- performance management and improvement systems
- Compliance to employment regulatory requirements
- Employee orientation, development, and training
- Policy development and documentation
- Group wide committee facilitation
- Company employee and community communication
- Compensation and benefits administration
- Employee welfare, wellness, and health
- Employee services and incentive schemes

What do I need?

Joining our team, the Head of People will possess a Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Human Resources with at least 4 years' experience in a senior or managerial HR position. You will have a broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development. You will also have:

- Above average oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with a Board of Directors
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop direct reports
- Ability to act as a successful participant of a senior management team that provides company leadership and direction
- Ability to interact effectively with a Board of Directors
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and skills in database management and paperless record keeping
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs or structures
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
- Possess ongoing affiliations with leaders in successful companies and organizations that practice effective Human Resource management
