An exciting opportunity has arisen to join South West Water as an Energy and Carbon Technician based in, Exeter.

About The Role

The Energy and Carbon Technician will assist in energy and carbon management activities to ensure the business maintains compliance with relevant legislative requirements, such as ESOS compliance through the company's ISO 50001 certification.

This role will also ensure the company's energy management system is continuously improved, as well as ensuring information and data from the system is used in such a way that contributes to meeting all energy and carbon targets as directed by the Board.

The Energy and Carbon Technician will also assist is the source data collection, processing and accounting for the purposes of reporting the company's greenhouse gas emissions (carbon footprint).

The Ideal Energy and Carbon Technician:

- Previous experience in an Energy, Carbon or Sustainability role
- Educated to A level standard or equivalent
- Possession of an Engineering or Environmental Science related further or higher qualification would be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to people at all levels of the business
- Logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Full driving license and prepared to travel within and on occasion outside the companies work area
