My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their team to support their growth and expansion.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

� Develop a robust and effective Customer Complaints methodology, ensuring customers receive prompt response and long-term close-out of reported issues.

� Review the Supplier evaluation process and identify improvements to ensure risk-free supply of external goods and services.

� Work with the Purchasing function to ensure prompt and effective Corrective Action in response to Supplier Non-conformances.

� Develop the goods-in process for best value, ensuring appropriate levels of inspection and verification. Identify opportunities, based on recorded data, to apply dynamic modification to inspection levels with a view to inspection activity reduction.

� Work with Engineering and Purchasing functions to ensure initial samples, project results and other 'one-off' activities conform to documented standards.

� Instigate and manage responsive and effective projects in response to identified quality issues, liaising with colleagues, running meetings and reporting to the leadership team as required.

� Develop (and improve existing) QA metrics and KPI's.

� Assist with internal Quality Audits and external Supplier Audits/visits.

� Employ Quality Assurance principles and problem-solving techniques to assist with effective response to non-conformances.

� Assist with the ongoing development of Quality awareness and provide coaching and leadership where required.

� Become a focal point for Quality matters and act as arbiter in instances of conflict/disagreement.

� Deputise for the Quality manager in his absence.

Quality Engineer Requirements:

� Ideally you will have a formal qualification at Degree/HND/HNC level in an appropriate discipline: engineering/business/QA. (However candidates with relevant experience within quality with qualifications will also be considered)

� ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification. (Desirable however candidates with auditing experience and no formal qualification will also be considered)

� Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access.)

� Familiarity with, and experience deploying, Quality principles - 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Whys, 5S etc.

� Presentation skills - the ability to present complex data effectively to senior management.

� Excellent communication skills allowing for discussion at all levels from temporary shop-floor operative to Managing Director.

� A 'can-do', energetic, solution-focused attitude and the ability to inspire others towards a common goal.

� Proven success in deploying the above requirements in a fast-paced manufacturing organisation.
