Quanta want to hear from best in field Procurement Directors with offshore wind experience. We are working with a leading name in the offshore renewables market to recruit a Procurement Director for a ground-breaking offshore wind farm project oustide of the EU. 

This opportunity not only offers excellent remuneration but also the opportunity to relocate to the Southern hemisphere and be involved in this project, still in its infancy allowing you to utilise your offshore renewables procurement expertise utilising your extensive knowledge to develop and execute the project procurement strategy.

Your responsibilities

- Develop and execute the project procurement strategy 
- Drive and execute procurement and contract management activities to select the right suppliers and secure safe, timely, high-quality and cost-efficient deliveries 
- Drafting and negotiation of supplier contracts 
- Perform contract management activities 
- Develop and maintain value-adding supplier relations 
- Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the acquisition and reporting of third-party spend across the company.
- Lead contract negotiations with key internal stakeholders, legal department and support groups
- As a Procurement Director, we value your knowledge and relations within a specific supplier market segment within offshore wind. 

Your Profile

- You are one of the best Procurement Directors in the industry 
- You hold a master’s degree in (commercial) law, business administration, engineering or an equivalent qualification 
- In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices
- Business acumen and strong negotiation skills 
- Experience and understanding of large projects and the ability to work in the interface between technical, commercial and legal aspects and a strong sense of value and risk drivers 
- Experience from offshore wind projects and the ability to prioritise and execute tasks as well as an understanding of successful large wind project delivery 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to perform in different cultures as in Australia and on all organizational levels
- Strong negotiation skills and relationship management 
- Proactive and co-operative way of working and high attention to detail  
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English      
- You are a strong all-rounder with a blend of commercial, technical and contractual knowledge and understanding and you perform equally well whether you are leading a negotiation of a strategic partnership or managing a traditional competitive supplier selection with clearly defined process steps. You have a creative approach to problem solving and a can-do attitude.
