We may not deal directly with our customers, but we play an absolutely vital role in making sure that our customer–facing teams get all the support they need to deliver the very best service. What you'll be doing You will support the implementation of Enterprise Information Management into Bupa UK. You will be responsible for two new teams consisting of a Master Data Management team and a Data Operations team. You will ensure these teams have a vision and a strategy based on data integrity, data quality, data security and regulatory and legal compliance. You will design this role, the processes and the teams from the ground up. You will work with many database technologies, many operational systems, and many sets of customer data from different Bupa businesses. You will sit alongside data experts in data warehousing and analytics who will rely on you to increase the quality and integrity of master data across the Bupa UK businesses and you will ensure we know where our sensitive data is and how we are classifying this data (and documents). What’s a typical day? You will oversee delivery of Data Governance engagements, including adherence to standards & processes, and reusability and you will also support engagements as needed to ensure successful deliverables. You will conduct Data Governance tool assessments and POCs as needed, develop recommendations on appropriate implementation, configuration and use of these tools. Additionally, you will architect, install and configure Data Governance tools accordingly, ensuring business requirements are met and approach aligns with the people and process recommendations and roadmap. You will be responsible for creating and updating strategy for augmenting the capabilities of the organisation to deliver effective Data Governance consulting services. Who we’re looking for? Highly significant industry experience and extensive experience Data Governance Lead role in a formal Data Governance program Extensive experience in a Senior Business / Data Analyst role Experience working with business / technical development team / data stewards to clearly document DG and metadata requirements Experience with DG Tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Orchestra Networks, etc. Strong experience in interviewing and group facilitation Experience with Enterprise Information Management Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills Strong people management skills with proven ability and enthusiasm to lead, motivate, and encourage a strong customer service and business-oriented ethic in the entire team Ability to quickly develop rapport with prospects, clients and team members Proven ability to produce Data Governance solutions that satisfy client requirements Experience working with a cross-functional team in the areas of technology and business Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and priorities Strong leadership background to effectively manage, mentor, and grow those pursuing a Data Governance career path Ability to understand critical issues and bring appropriate resolution to complex issues Demonstrated work ethic, focus and self-discipline What’s it like to work here?
