SEN Teaching Assistant required immediately working 1:1 with severe ASC pupil in Nursery (April / May 2019)

Do you have experience supporting pupils with severe ASC and challenging behaviour?

The role will require you to liaise and work closely with the LEA behaviour specialist

Long term position to start asap April / May 2019

I am currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistant to join an average Primary School which fosters the self esteem and autonomy of each individual and which encourages him or her to benefit society so that both may be enriched and enhanced.

Our client is a one form entry school in Woolton / Gatacre area of Liverpool and serves a diverse community and number of pupils for whom English is an additional language is rising in school.

The role will be working 1:1 with a girl who is joining Nursery with ASC who has sensory needs and is non verbal. You may be required to carry out personal care

The role is part-time and will be long term / ongoing and may lead to a permanent contract. The hours are Wednesday afternoon (12.30 – 3.30) and full days Thursday and Friday 8.30 – 3.30 with a half hour lunch.
