Design Technology teacher (Wellingborough)

Are you a passionate and engaging teacher of Design Technology seeking a new position? If so, we want to hear from you!

I am currently recruiting on behalf of an ambitious and inclusive secondary school close to Irthlingborough who are looking for a teacher of Design Technology to join them after the Easter. Striving to achieve success for all, the school aim to provide an outstanding level of education and an array of opportunities for their students. A vibrant curriculum is combined with extensive enrichment opportunities in order to support students in reaching aspirations. Together with parents in the community, staff members help their students to set challenging goals and develop the skills necessary to achieve them. Ofsted graded the school as good in their most recent inspection and commented on the leadership and the quality of teaching which all continue to be good. The successful applicant will join a dedicated Technology team of specialists who are passionate about continuing to achieve success and encourage excitement around the subject. The department is equipped with a number of state-of-the-art machines to assist students with their learning, including a laser cutter and a Computer-Aided Design machine. You will be required to teach across all areas of key stage 3 and key stage 4 Design Technology. You will be required on a full time basis until the end of the academic year; however there may be an opportunity for a permanent post in September.

The ideal candidate will also be:

* Confident in preparing and delivering engaging lessons which cater to varied abilities
* Able to monitor results in order to ensure students are making sufficient progress
* Excellent at managing behaviour and promoting the ethos and values of the school
* Capable of inspiring and motivating students
