Hours of Work: Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm - Within this role it will requiring travelling across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia for our event exhibitions

Due to consistent growth we are now seeking a talented B2B Business Development Manager to join our talented team.

The Business Development Manager role

The Business Development Manager is needed to generate exhibition revenue for a formidable global events and marketing development company in Slough. Expect a rare opportunity to progress your career acquiring new clients and developing existing opportunities across aerospace events.

Reporting to the Chairman, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and acquiring new clients whilst developing existing opportunities to generate exhibition revenue. On a day-to-day basis expect to build relationships, source new clients, design clear exhibition sales plans, produce forecasts, attend events, input new ideas to maximise sales opportunities and anything else necessary to drive exhibition revenue.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

* Conduct sales activity to generate sales revenue across sponsorship, exhibition and delegate spaces and client-specific managed services hitting targets and KPIs set
* Build relationships with both existing accounts and significant industry players to source and grow international revenues
* Prepare and execute an account management strategy
* Actively source new clients in line with agreed sales strategy to create new revenue opportunities
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of existing markets and contribute to research activities for new event development including client-specific managed services and other additional revenue streams
* Design clear sales plans with SMART objectives based on the sales strategy and sales targets

Business Development Manager Requirements:

* A Level standard or equivalent as a minimum
* At least three years business development/sales experience
* Aerospace and defence industry experience (Desirable)
* Strong proven Sales skills
* Good communication skills both written and oral
* Microsoft Office software intermediate
* Excellent knowledge of Business to business sales
* Good knowledge of Account management
* Adheres to deadlines
* Flexible (working hours & tasks)
