English teacher needed for Stockport based secondary school in September 2019 for an upcoming vacancy due to a staff departure. The successful English teacher will need to have a clear passion for English literature and language and for raising attainment of students in line with their progress 8 targets.

This is a full time English post delivering KS3 and KS4 English, there is a sixth form at this school but this timetable will not consist of A Level teaching. Traditional in its nature situated in a leafy suburb of Stockport the school achieves well academically and pupils are respectful towards their peers.

The English department is large with around 1200 students on roll, has low levels of students who use English as an additional language and relatively low levels of students who use English as an additional language. Situated in the heart of Stockport there are direct train and bus routes for those on public transport.
