36 Month FTC

The role will predominantly work within Stepping Stones’ main office in Luton providing specialist one to one support and delivering group programmes to vulnerable women. The role will be delivering our Employment Training and Education provision offering group activities and one to one support to build skills in writing CVs and disclosure letters, interview practice and job searches.

The post holder will conduct some work outside of the office in the local area and build links with local employers / education providers.

The role will work closely with internal colleagues to coordinate access to other Stepping Stones’ services, as well as with other partner agencies to promote the service, make/receive referrals and contribute to multi agency working. The WSP will keep records of their work and will be responsible for meeting targets and recording and reporting on outcomes for their project. 

The role is hugely rewarding, but busy and demanding so you’ll need to be able to manage your time well, be able to keep a calm head and will already have a good knowledge of issues affecting women who have or are experiencing domestic abuse, safeguarding, social care procedures and relevant legislation.

What’s most important though is that you’re able to able to motivate and inspire your clients, working collaboratively alongside colleagues and partner agencies to deliver great services day in day out. 

This post is classed as having a high degree of contact with children or vulnerable adults and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced disclosure will be sought through the Disclosure and Barring Service as part of Stepping Stone’s employment checks and Personal Interviews will be required as part of the employment process.
