The Principal at an over subscribed 11-16 Academy is seeking an Art Teacher on a full time basis from September 2019 or earlier. Due to an increased demand for the subject which is highly enjoyed across Key Stages 3 & 4, the incoming Art Teacher can expect to join a highly resourced faculty amongst a welcoming staff team.

* Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary school.
* Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Art/Design.
* Pay in line with MPS/UPS �23, 720 - �39, 406.

This recently converted academy has approximately 700 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with state of the art facilities and resources on site, the school has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in all sectors. The department and the staff team have continued working hard towards pupils progressing across Key Stages 3 and 4.

As a very popular subject area there is an increased demand for the subject particularly at GCSE and so the incoming Art Teacher will be required to deliver inventive lessons which activate pupil Imagination. The responsibilities will be as follows but may not be limited to;

* Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
* Experience working with the Art curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial.
* Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
* Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

Located less than a few miles away from the Bolton City Centre, the Academy is perfectly situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public Transport Links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the Academy.
