Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist school in Leicestershire to recruit a Teaching Assistant on a full time basis. The role will commence as soon as possible, with strong potential for a permanent contract after the initial term placement for the right candidate.

The position will involve working with a small group of students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with varying Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH). The candidate will need to be confident in managing challenging behaviour as well as being enthusiastic and a positive role model for the students! Because of this, you will excel in this role with a Team Teach qualification, if you do not have this Teaching Personnel can provide this training for you. You will be working with children from a mix of backgrounds, including children in looked after care (LAC). You will play a large role in the monitoring of students progress and development both in terms of their academic and personal achievements.

Ideally for this role, you will also have a teaching assistant qualification however this is not mandatory and we welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including social and youth work. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced special needs teachers as well as specialist teaching assistants.
