Teaching Personnel are looking for KS1 Teachers in Frome. Although successful applicants will be teaching the KS1 curriculum, you could be supporting individuals between the ages of 4 - 16 with special educational needs. It is essential you have experience working with young people that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) to work in the following provisions:

* Pupil Referral Units (PRU)
* SEN Primary/Secondary
* EBD School’s

Requirements:

* You will be a qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with a proven track record.
* Have experience of working with children in either Primary or Secondary with SEMH, ADHD, ASC PMLD or SLD
* Have the ability to differentiate work according to each child’s individual needs
* You must be resilient and a good communicator who can work closely with your colleagues, external agencies and parents.

Experience of de-escalation techniques, Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) and Makaton would be a distinct advantage but not necessary.
