AREA SALES MANAGER

Having experienced strong organic growth over the last few years the business is now set to accelerate this with double digit growth over the next 3 years. Business is booming, accounts growing and with an ever-increasing number of leads coming in through the internal sales team, they now need to add another Area Sales Manager to the technical sales team

THE ROLE

As Area Sales Manager you will be:

* Covering the Midlands, South West and South Wales,

* Selling into OEM's of rotating equipment, end users and maintenance and service providers

* Key markets for you will be water, heavy industry, chemical, waste to energy, pulp, and paper, and power industries

* Dealing with customers like Welsh Water, Veolia, and TATA

* Selling mechanical sealing solutions

* The role will be 90% account management

* Following up leads from the product sales team, as well as proactively sourcing new opportunities yourself

* Networking existing accounts

* 3-4 days a week in the field, 2-4 visits per day.

* Dealing with process engineers, maintenance engineers/ mangers, chief engineers, and procurement, building strong technical and commercial relationships

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Area Sales Manager will have:

o A mechanical engineering qualification.
o A track record in the sales of mechanically engineered products.
o A track record in both business development and account management.

The company is looking to grow, and the management are keen to recruit those looking to step into positions of responsibility within 3-5 years. If you are also motivated by further education, the business would actively encourage this, and many of the existing team have been sponsored through both commercial and technical qualifications
