We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work alongside a Year 2 boy in a ‘Good’ rated primary school in the Woolwich area. The pupil requires a 1:1 Behavioural Specialist who has prior experience dealing with pupils of this calibre. The school are also keen to interview an individual who is nurturing and passionate in character as the pupil can find it hard to concentrate and focus in a classroom.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 6 months experience and the ability to deal with challenging situation intuitively. We would like someone who is able to show a good level of care, patience and demonstrate willingness to adapt and learn throughout the pupils’ development process. It is vital to ensure the student can attain and maintain good academic levels.

Candidate Requirements:

* 6 months experience working with pupils with behavioural challenges
* Be able to work full-time 5 days a week - 8:30 – 4pm
* Be confident when supporting pupils behaviour inside and outside of the classroom
* Deliver 1:1 sessions to maintain pupils progress
* Promote positive behaviour at all times
* Have Restraint Handling, De-escalation or Team Teach training ( Desirable)
* Support in preparations of any extra appropriate classroom activities required for the pupil
* Implement pupil safety procedures
* Any related course or qualification would be ideal ( Youth Worker, Ex- Militants or Criminology graduates)
