About You


Educated to degree level in a mathematics or Computer Science based subject
Experienced in Java, Spring, Hibernate, MySQL, Maven, Git and Java Application Servers
Experienced with Bash/Python scripting
Knowledgeable on SQL, Linux and web architectures / services (HTTP, REST, JSON, etc.)
Team management, supervisor or team leader experience
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools
An excellent and pro-active communicator, comfortable with end users and customers
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Self-motivation and an enthusiasm for solving complex problems
Willing to travel and work out of regular business hours when required


 

The Role

As the Senior Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for leading a team of technical support engineers by managing workloads, schedules, shift rotas, ensuring the quality of development work and testing processes are accurately followed.

You will be client focused and feel comfortable in understanding and acting on customer needs. As a senior member of the team you will also be expected to contribute to bid work and provide management reports on performance of the team and trends.

 

You and the team will look after the E2E Incident Lifecycle, prioritising and managing several open issues at any one time. You will be required to provide on-call support outside business hours, acting as an escalation point for Major Incident Management, Change Management and Problem Management.
