Teaching Personnel
Job Ref:

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Behaviour Support Specialists to work, initially, on an ad-hoc basis for one of our large SEND clients in central Leicester. The role will entail supporting the class teacher and working with a variety of pupils, across the primary age range, within classes of no more than 10 pupils.

The school itself is an excellent school with an extremely welcoming and supportive staff. It is an all-through provision supporting learners with a range of special needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties, Speech & Language Communicational Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Hearing Impairment. Some of the learners exhibit challenging behaviour and therefore Team Teach training, or good experience of supporting learners such as this, is preferable though not always essential.

As the school is still growing their number of learners on roll and will continue to do so over the next few years, longer term assignments will be available as will opportunities to apply for permanent roles, should that be desired.

We welcome applicants who have a qualification in such as Team Teach, however proven experience without the qualification can be just as valuable. As can experience from another sector, for example youth workers and Psychology graduates with some experience of supporting vulnerable people often have cross over skills.

If you are interested in this role then we wish to hear from you! Please use the contact details supplied or email or call 0116 201 4494

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE E.n.g.l.i.s.h & M.a.t.h.s (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
