Our client, a fun, well-established, creative technology company are looking for a finance admin assistant to support the business on a fix term contract. They provide fully managed IT support and technology solutions, including proactive maintenance and monitoring, 24/7 IT support, network administration and technology consulting. Their aim to so get to know individual businesses inside out so they can recommend technology that will effectively address each unique business need. The right candidate needs to be Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment. They will be a highly organised self-starter who is also a flexible team player. ROLE : Finance Assistant ROLE TYPE: Fixed Term Contract DURATION : 12 Months SALARY: £25k COMPANY TYPE: Technology LOCATION: Central London Responsibilities Taking full responsibility for the purchase ledger function Processing large volumes of purchase invoices (250+ a month) Carrying out weekly and/or monthly supplier reconciliations Raising weekly sales invoices to customers Preparing and processing prepayment schedules Provide detailed and accurate revenue reports to the Finance Manager Manage the accounting system to ensure consistency, accurate entry, and accurate reporting of all accounts Investigating and resolving customer invoicing queries within a 48-hour time frame Maintenance of purchase ledger and accounts queries inbox Bank & Credit Card reconciliations (performed weekly and monthly) Raising bi-weekly and monthly supplier payment runs Keeping accurate customer financial information and account status in our ERP Escalate finance and accounting issues to management when necessary Experience and Qualifications No professional qualification required Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role (not compulsory) Attention to detail and a quick learner Ability to meet tight deadlines (mandatory) Strong time management skills Strong experience with accountancy software such as QuickBooks or Sage Line 50 Knowledge of other common software applications (Microsoft Office and other computer software) Intermediate knowledge of Excel - (Reporting will be mainly Excel based and will need to be manipulated by vlookups, formulas and pivot tables) Capabilities The job holder must display the following: Team player Very high level of accuracy High Degree of Personal organisation See tasks through to completion and meet deadlines Ability to plan and schedule and focus on priorities Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment NB: If this company and position appeals to you then please apply your CV on-line.
